Catalina Boghici

“Workplace has been really supportive and provided me with the necessary tools to help me progress in my career. My advisor has helped me to the very point I am now from recruitment to getting this job rather than me having to apply independently.”

Having completed her master’s degree in Business Administration at the University of Bucharest and having had previous experience in her own country of Romania, Catalina came to Workplace looking for her first job in the UK. With several years of experience working in an office environment as a travel agent in Bucharest, she was looking for something that would make use of her skills.

Our advisers first worked with Catalina to improve her CV. We identified and highlighted the key skills she already had. We helped her order these in a way that sold her to potential employers. Having made sure her CV was working for her, we arranged and helped her to prepare for interviews.

“My Workplace Adviser helped me to update my CV and she provided me with professional advice on how to present myself in an interview. It didn’t take long until I had my first group interview and I was offered the job as a Team Assistant at IQL, Lendlease. Within six months I was progressed into another role as Project Administrator – Community and Education, part of the Socio-Economic Team and I am really enjoying it. I would encourage other Newham residents to make use of the excellent advice and employer contacts available at Workplace”
